Our promise is simple: clear, honest information you can use to protect your family, written by a licensed agent who answers for every word.
Life insurance is a big decision, and most of what people read online is written to sell, not to explain. This page explains how we create the articles, guides and calculators on this site, and how we handle mistakes.
Who writes our content
Every article on The Life Insurance Professionals is published under the name of Cory Levine, an independent life insurance agent based in Boca Raton, Florida, serving families nationwide. Cory has been licensed since 2018 and is responsible for everything published on this site.
- Florida License: W526357
- Verify it yourself: Florida Department of Financial Services licensee search
Cory isn’t a doctor, lawyer, accountant or tax advisor. When a topic touches health, law or taxes, we explain how it affects life insurance and point you to the right professional for the rest.
How we research
- Real underwriting rules. We use insurance companies’ own underwriting guides to explain how conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes or a heart attack affect your options.
- Real prices. When we show sample rates, they come from an insurance company’s actual quote system, and we tell you the date, the state and the assumptions behind them. We don’t publish made-up averages.
- Trusted public sources. For health and financial statistics, we use sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and government agencies, and we link to them so you can check.
- Real experience. Cory has helped hundreds of families. What he sees in real applications shapes what we write.
Why we don’t name insurance companies in our articles
As an independent agent, Cory can work with multiple insurance companies. Our articles describe how companies generally treat a situation instead of promoting a specific one, because the best company for you depends on your age, health, state and goals. We compare specific companies one-on-one, based on your situation.
How we make money
This site is free to use. If you buy a policy through Cory, he is paid a commission by the insurance company. That doesn’t change what you pay for the policy, and it never changes what we recommend. Sometimes the honest answer is that the coverage you already have is enough, and we’ll tell you that.
Keeping content up to date
Rules, prices and products change. Every article shows a “Last updated” date at the top. We review articles when rates, underwriting rules or laws change, and we update the date when we make meaningful changes.
Plain English, no pressure
- We write for real people, not for other agents.
- We explain trade-offs and risks, not just benefits.
- We never promise approval, a specific price or a specific rate class. Your actual coverage depends on full underwriting.
- Our tools, like the term life quote and the private health check, are there to help you understand your options before you talk to anyone.
